Snacks on the Go

This fall, skip over processed junk food snacks and go back to the basics. Our cheeses are made with the same time-honored Italian techniques and traditions that have been passed down from generation to generation, and use only the finest ingredients.

Feed the ones you love with fresh, delicious and cheesy flavors this year, with some of our simple and satisfying snacks.

3-Ingredient Parmesan Reggiano Crisps

These extremely simple crisps take only about 10 minutes to make (including prep and cook time!) They make perfect additions to lunches, after school snacks or appetizers while waiting for dinner.

Ingredients:
● 1 cup of Il Villaggio Parmesan Reggiano, shredded
● 2 cloves of minced garlic
● Handful of basil, finely chopped

Instructions:
1. Preheat your oven to 350 degrees F.

2. Line a baking sheet with parchment paper.

3. Place tablespoons of the IV Parmesan Reggiano on the baking sheet, spreading each heap out into a thinner circle. Sprinkle with minced garlic and basil.

4. Bake in the oven for about 5 minutes, or until the outside edges become golden brown. Enjoy them crispy!

Cheesy Spinach Rolls

We use two of our creamiest cheese to create a mouthwatering spinach dip, wrapped in a flaky crescent roll. Creamy, cheesy and packed with deliciousness, these rolls are a snap to make and will please the whole family.

Ingredients:
● 2 packs of pre made crescent roll dough
● 4-oz. Of room temperature cream cheese
● 4-oz. Of Il Villaggio Ricotta cheese
● 1-1/2 cups shredded Il Villaggio mozzarella cheese
● 2 cups fresh chopped spinach
● 1 egg
● 1 tbsp water

Instructions:
1. Preheat oven to 350 degrees
2. In a medium bowl combine IV mozzarella, cream cheese, IV ricotta and the spinach – mix together until thoroughly combined
3. Roll your crescents out flat
4. Take a heaping tablespoon of the spinach mixture and add it to the wide end of each crescent
5. Roll up the crescents and place on cooking sheet
6. In a small bowl combine egg and water – whisk well with a fork
7. Brush egg wash on the crescents
8. Bake 15-20 minutes or until golden brown and the cheese is melted
9. Serve immediately – enjoy!

2-Ingredient Parmesan Reggiano Roasted Tomatoes

These delectable roasted tomatoes are a more adult bite, but they’re easy to transport and make a healthy anytime snack! As an added bonus, they take less than a half hour to make.

Ingredients:
● 6 small tomatoes, halved
● Olive oil
● Pinch of sea salt
● Freshly cracked black pepper
● Handful of basil, finely chopped
● 1 cup grated Il Villaggio Parmesan Reggiano cheese

Instructions:
1. Preheat the oven to 400 degrees F.

2. Toss the halved tomatoes in the olive oil, and season to taste with the salt and pepper.

3. Arrange the tomato halves on a cooking sheet, and top each with a generous sprinkle of Parmesan Reggiano and a pinch of the basil.

4. Bake for about 15-20 minutes, or until the cheese is a light golden brown.
